At IIX Foundation, we celebrate the value of women as crucial forces in society and are committed to supporting last-mile programs that empower them to realize their full potential.
SUROVI
The proceeds raised from SHE IS MORE 2019 allowed us to empower vulnerable communities in Bangladesh to become independent through skills training. In the capital of Dhaka, which has over 3.5 million people living in the slums, women in particular lack access to quality education and are mostly employed as domestic or garment workers. IIX provided over 120 women with access to over 17,280 hours of basic computer and digital literacy training over six months, improving their confidence to access new and better-paying employment opportunities and build better lives for their families.
RED PENCIL
We are also committed to celebrating the courage of women who are taking control of their lives to build a better future for themselves and their families. With the proceeds from SHE IS MORE 2019, IIX Foundation worked with Red Pencil Singapore to provide 20 disadvantaged women in Singapore with PTSD rehabilitation through 240 hours of art therapy sessions, under the supervision of a credentialed art therapist. This enabled us to empower these women to rehabilitate themselves after suffering from abuse, anxiety, grief, and depression, as well as to heal and restore their sense of well-being through the creative arts.
